# Shared inbox

> Receive, organize, and reply to email with Emailr inboxes.

Emailr inboxes turn a verified domain into a two-way email workflow. Each inbox has a name, local address, reply-to settings, and optional signature.

## Inbox workflow

1. Add and verify a domain from **Domains**.
2. Open **Inbox** and create an address such as `support@yourdomain.com`.
3. Enable receiving for the domain and publish the displayed DNS records.
4. Send a test message to the inbox.
5. Reply, label, star, archive, or schedule a response from the thread view.

## Team organization

Use labels and folders to separate active conversations, drafts, sent messages, spam, and trash. Thread state and unread counts are shared with your organization.

## Integrations

An inbox can notify a connected Slack channel. For application workflows, subscribe to receiving webhooks and process the event from your own endpoint.

<Note>
  DNS changes can take time to propagate. Keep the records shown by Emailr exactly as provided and verify the domain again after propagation.
